Mr. Guy Bromley, first secretary, Trade and Investment, Northern India to discuss about possible areas of collaboration between U.K. and Gujarat with a view to further develop the Chemicals sector in the state.
GCCI President Dr. Jaimin Vasa, Chairman of GCCI’s Environment Committee Shri Shrenik Merchant, President of Gujarat Dyestuff Manufacturers Association Shri Yogesh Parikh and member of Environment Committee Shri Haresh Bhuta were present during the meeting.
Dr. Vasa shared a presentation highlighting the strengths and the significant contribution of the chemicals and allied sectors of Gujarat to the overall production and output of nation. He also mentioned U.K. has strong knowledge, technology, innovation base while in India has leading manufacturing hub where all complex chemicals and natural resources are readily available in Gujarat.
Mr. Bromley explained resolving of issue which is solid waste management and disposal. U.K. can also contribute in developing process through which the liquid water could be recycled and the water could be reused by the industry.
Conclusion:
The meeting proved to be very fruitful and would pave way for future collaborations in R&D and innovation for further growth and development of the Chemical Sector of Gujarat.
