Gujarat  Chamber of Commerce & Industry  organized an Interactive Programme on “ Establishing Business In USA , Leading To Business Immigration” on 8th May ,2018. The speakers  at the programme were   Mr David Nachman &  Ms. Snehal Batra , Managing Attorneys  of  an  important Law Firm  NPZ  of  USA. GCCI President Shri Shaileshbhai Patwari; Shri Anilbhai  Sanghvi , Hon . Secretary ;   Shri Pratapbhai  Chandan, Hon. Treasurer ; Publications Committee Chairman Shri Archishbhai  Shah , Dr Saurabbhai Chokshi  and others totaling about 150   persons were present on the occasion.

While welcoming guests , Shri Shaileshbhai Patwari  said that  economic , professional  and Industrial opportunities  that USA provides are far better than those in any other country in the world.  While the 20th century has seen great changes in the economic fortunes of nations across the world, one nation which has maintained its supremacy is United States of  America. That is the reason it is still the magnet for business people from other countries .  He added that the value and importance that American Visa  and  American  Green Card carry have no comparison.  He expressed the confidence  that this interactive seminar will be useful to exporters , importers ,businessmen as well as those seeking Green Card through business. In  his introductory  remarks,  Hon. Chairman of  GCCI NRG Committee / Centre Shri  K H Patel gave an overview of the activities of the NRG  Centre and  mentioned that of the total  2.5 crores Indians residing abroad , about 25% are Non-Resident Gujaratis (NRGs). He informed that  GCCI established NRG Committee in 2008  with a view to help NRGs. He also mentioned that  NRG Centre is helping in issuing Gujarat Cards  which entitle NRGs  for priority dealings in Government Departments  and getting discounts from  different  vendors such as hotels, hospitals , jewllery  shops and several other outfits which are listed in Gujarat  Government ‘s Website.

Mr. David Nachman and Ms. Snehal Batra stressed upon the fact that USA is looking for investments  and the doors are open for doing business in USA provided things are done in the right and legitimate way. EB-5 Visa is available for investments and doing business in USA. There are two different options available for fulfilling EB-5 investments. The one is Direct investments with  investment of US $ One Million. Another  is investment of US $ 5,00,000 in a Targeted Employment Area with creation of employment of 10 full time workers or through Regional Investment  Centres which are involved in promotion of economic growth, improved regional productivity, job creation and increased domestic capital investment. Approval of EB-5 petition takes an average 12-14 months. Once the Investor’s Green Card is approved ,it is conditional for a period of two and half years. At the end of the programme  , Shri Pratapbhai Chandan , Hon.
