The Startup and Innovation committee and Agriculture Committee of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a “Meet the Mentors” series for Agri Startups with Agri experts at GCCI supported by innovation Incubation center of i-Hub, GUSEC & PDPU.

Shri Hemantbhai Shah, Sr. Vice President, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry in his welcome address appreciated the both the committees for organizing such interesting meet on startups. He stated that many potential ideas / innovations startups are not commercialized due to lack of funds / investors. He also briefed about the activities of GCCI. He also assured for continuous support in future.

Shri Ashish Guru, Chaiman, Agriculture committee stated about the challenges for the marketing, production and weather for agriculture. He also appealed to use AI in farming.

Shri Amit Parikh, Chairman, Startup and Innovation Committee explained about necessity of such programs to promote the startups. He assured to organize such informative programs in future to promote startups.

Dr. Suthar informed about their three incubation centres and training facilities available at their Anand campus.

Dr. C.M.Patel explained about storage, transport, packaging of the farm products to reach at the customers end. He also stated about the need of IT in farm sector. He explained about the utilization of modern farm equipments for better farming and to overcome the shortage of skilled labours.

Shri Manikumar informed about the funds & equity availability from NABARD schemes and incentive available from the government for farm sector activities.

They also informed about the difficulties faced by them while commercializing the product. They also narrated about the help/support required from business / industry communities.

Various questions were raised by the agri startups and agri experts replied very positively all of them in the interactive session. The experts present in the programs have shared their experiences.

Shri K.I.Patel, Vice President, GCCI with his concluding remarks expressed gratitude towards Agri experts for entertaining startups and   concluded the event with vote of thanks.
