GCCI in association with National Research Development Corporation, an enterprise of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India have jointly organized seminar on “Technology Transfer Opportunities in Pharma Biotech & Health” specially for MSME on 21st August, 2018.
The Seminar have been inaugurated by Dr. Jaimin R. Vasa, President, GCCI and highlighted NRDC’s wide range of technologies offering comprehensive services in improving the manufacturing base in India with innovative technologies. Further, he also described the significance of 5C’s i.e. Communication, Certainty, Challenges, Capacity and Commitment.

The Guest of Honor, Shri Anil Jain, MD, Ascent Finechem Private Limited emphasized on commercializing of technology rather than paperwork and Dr. Shrenik Shah, Honorary Secretary, IDMA shared his thoughts for advantages of developments of new technologies in Pharma, Bio-tech and Health sectors.
The Chief Guest Shri Arvind Kukreti, Deputy Drug Controller, CDSCO Ahmedabad emphasized on Quality parameters, Production, Formulation and Regulation of the technologies of different areas like Bio- Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, Plant Biotechnology and Biomedical Technologies.
The Seminar was parted into two Sessions where prominent speakers from renowned research and academic institutes and organizations were invited to address the topics of the areas of their interest.
The Esteemed Speakers included Dr. Kannan Srinivasan, Sr. Principal Scientist (BD) CSIR-CSMCRI Bhavnagar; Dr. D.Shailaja, Head - Business Development & Research Management, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad; Prof. Manjunath Ghate, Director & Dean- Pharma, Nirma University, Ahmedabad; Dr. Rajesh Parikh, Director –GTU, Gandhinagar; Prof. Sachin Parikh, HOD of Chemical Engineering, LD College, Ahmedabad; Dr. J.L. Raheja, Scientist CSIR-CEERI Pilani (2D-3D Endoscopy), Health related Electronics Technologies; and Mr. Naseem Siddiqui, Scientist, CSIR-CDRI Lucknow. Eminent speakers from various research institutes and universities delivered sessions about the new technologies available for commercialization at their institutes.
NRDC in collaboration with CII APTDC is organizing this Seminar-cum Industry interaction Meet and One-to-One Meetings on Biotech and Life Sciences Technologies in order to create awareness on the development and availability of various technologies.
The Interactive Session succeeded with good discussion and deliberations with participants drawn from private sector companies, state government R&D institutions, agricultural universities, etc from Bio-tech, Pharma & Health.
The attempt made by GCCI was well appreciated by MSME of Gujarat. The Seminar concluded with Vote of Thanks by Shri Amitabh Mishra, Sr. manager, NRDC.
