Any Businessman can become General Voting Member of GCCI. He will be able to contest and vote in the elections of GCCI as per the rules of GCCI. General Voting Member will have to pay entrance fees [one time] and annual subscription fees of the Chamber shall be as decided by the Executive Committee from time to time.
To become a Patron Member of GCCI, a Businessman will have to pay prescribed onetime fee (decided from time to time by the Executive Committee of GCCI) and such Patron Member shall not be required to make any payment towards annual subscription and can contest and vote in the election, if he is registered with GCCI as Patron Member.
To become a Life Member of GCCI, A businessman will have to pay prescribed onetime fee (decided from time to time by the Executive Committee of GCCI) Only an individual can become a Lifetime Member. A Lifetime member can contest and vote in the election.
Only companies incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, or a similar act in India earlier in the past or under the above act amended from time to time or replaced by any other similar act or any Limited Liability Partnership entities incorporated under the relevant law from time to time can become Corporate Member of GCCI. Corporate Member can nominate two representatives. Either one can vote in the election of the Chamber and can contest as a candidate in the elections.
Business Association Member (Mahajan Member) means a member who is recognized by the Chamber as a Business Association (Mahajan) and who has registered itself as a Business Association Member (Mahajan Member) with GCCI. A Business Association Member can contest and vote in the election. Such Business Association (Mahajan), if Government Registered, should have membership strength of not less than 25 members to be considered eligible for membership. Any unregistered Business Association (Mahajan) should have not less than 25 members and should have been at least 5 years in existence to be considered eligible to be a member of the chamber.
If any Businessman of Indian origin, who is a citizen of a foreign country and/or is residing in a foreign country for a period of more than 12 months from the date of his expressing an intention of becoming a member of GCCI. Foreign Member and he/she will have to pay the necessary entrance fees and annual subscription (decided from time to time by the Executive Committee of GCCI). Please contact Secretariat for details.
Persons who are well known for their Social and Educational Services, Experts in the fields of commerce, business and trade and reputed persons from other fields who are interested in the objects of the Chamber and its activities shall be admitted as Honorary Members on the recommendation of the Executive Committee.
Any businessman can become a Non-Voting Member. However co-operative societies or Business Associations cannot become Non-Voting Members. Non-Voting Members shall have no right to contest election or to vote or to remain present in the General Meetings.
Business means any activity involving trade or industry of any nature and/or providing services of any nature and includes services provided to trade, commerce or industry, with the aim of earning profit. Business shall not include individuals giving any service as a medical practitioner and/or simply being employed in a trade, commercial, industrial or service organization.
Businessman means any Person, as defined hereinafter, involved in Business as defined above and representing in GCCI, such business, on behalf of a business establishment.
Table B : Annual turnover mentioned as below for Corporate Membership Renewal
Corporate member shall be required to make onetime payment and annual subscription based on their turnover declared as consolidated total revenue in their last audited accounts.
Every Corporate Member shall be required to pay the annual subscription fees in advance i.e. between 01st November to 31st of March of the relevant previous year in the current year.
The Applicant has to attach the cheque for the applicable amount including GST drawn in favour of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
