Mr. PIERRE- EMMANUEL BRUSSELMANS CONSUL GENERAL -BELGIUM AT MUMBAI had an interactive meeting with GCCI today and discussed how the trade and investment can enhance for the mutual benefit. President Shri Hemant Shah welcomed the Consul General and briefed about the activities of GCCI and the strength of State of Gujarat. He also mentioned the historical ties between the two countries of last many decades. Belgium is very well known to people of Gujarat as we have a common product of interest i.e. Diamond.  Gujarat State being one of the leading states for Trade and investment with the mutual trust between people of both the countries will surely help to boost our relationship. He assured the delegation that GCCI will help the business community of Belgium to find the right partner for business. 

Mr. PIERRE- EMMANUEL BRUSSELMANS CONSUL GENERAL -BELGIUM said that they are looking forward for collaboration with State of Gujarat for economic development and they are planning to open a Trade office in Gujarat which will serve the purpose for both. They are looking for business development in other sectors like Logistic, Chemicals, Pharma etc. Shri Anil Jain requested to share the details of appropriate Chamber or Association with whom GCCI can have a dialogue. Shri Samir Shah also mentioned about the collaboration in skill development especially on Maritime. He   also said that travel would be now easier as COVID is on declining trend.
