GCCI, associated with the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) and AIC-IPR Plasmatech Innovation Foundation, organized the SMPT-2025 Seminar at IPR Gandhinagar. Shri R.D. Barhatt, Joint Commissioner of Industries, Government of Gujarat, delivered the inaugural address, highlighting the government’s commitment to promoting technological advancements and supporting startups and MSMEs within the state.

Shri Rajesh Gandhi, Senior Vice-President of GCCI, addressed the gathering as the Guest of Honour, emphasizing the importance of plasma surface modification in enhancing product quality and performance across industries such as food, agriculture and dairy. He highlighted the technology’s potential to improve hygiene and extend the shelf life of dairy products, stressing the need for innovation, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of advanced technologies to stay globally competitive and support sustainability.
