Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an Interactive Session with Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister Shri Piyush Goyal at GCCI Premises. The topics for discussion in the Interactive Session included Textile, FTAs and Commerce. 
Shri Pathik Patwari welcomed the Chief Guest and shared suggestions for further improving the productivity of cotton to make it comparable with international levels.

Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal in his address discussed about the initiatives for providing opportunity to start-ups to supply their products and appreciated GCCI’s support to the start-ups through i-Hub and GUSEC. He suggested textile industries to ask for verification of claimed machines/assets by Joint Inspection Team (JIT) under ATUFS and discussed about making efforts to join the entire textile value chain. He also discussed about the suggestions regarding involve smaller industry players to put forth their suggestions in the advisory committees, resolution of insurance cases, GST simplification related matters and the issues faced by local industry due to imports from Bangladesh.
