GCCI Insurance Taskforce organized a seminar on insurance awareness for industry focusing on educating businesses about insurance policies, risk management and industry-specific coverage.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Sandeep Engineer, President, GCCI, who emphasized the importance of proactive risk management and comprehensive coverage for businesses. Shri Nilesh Desai, Chairman of the GCCI Insurance Task Force, followed with a detailed address on the need for tailored insurance solutions and collaboration between industries and insurers.

Shri Bhupesh S. Rahul, CMD of United Insurance Co. Ltd, discussed Streamlining ,claim settlements and risk assessment, noting that while global insurance penetration is around 6-7%, India's stood at only 4% in 2023. Shri Inderjeet Singh, Secretary General of the General Insurance Council, stressed the importance of industry best practices, especially for manufacturing sectors.

The session included a panel discussion moderated by Shri Parth Desai, which addressed challenges like claim settlement delays, documentation issues and the complexities of insurance underwriting. A Q&A session followed, where attendees engaged with the experts to clarify their concerns.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Parth Desai, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, panellists and participants for their valuable contributions.
