GCCI alongwith BIS, Ahmedabad hosted a Quality Conclave to celebrate BIS’s 78th Foundation Day.

The event featured key speakers including Hon'ble Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Chief Minister, Gujarat who highlighted the importance of standardization and the new Gujarat Procurement Policy mandating BIS specifications for government procurement, aligning with the Viksit Bharat vision for a developed India by 2047.

Shri Sandeep Engineer, President, GCCI emphasized the need for industries to obtain BIS licenses to boost product quality, competitiveness and trust. Shri Sumit Sengar, BIS Ahmedabad Head, showcased BIS’s achievements and initiatives, including the launch of Standards Clubs in educational institutions to promote quality consciousness among youth.
