Installation ceremony of GCCI Youth Committee for the year 2023-24 was held on Monday, 28th August, 2023.

Ms. Shumona Agarwal Sutaria was installed as the Chairperson of GCCI Youth Committee in the presence of Chief Guests Shri Mahendra Patel, Chairman, Mamata Group and Shri Arjun Handa, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Claris Limited and Office Bearers of GCCI.

While welcoming the guests and members, Shri Sandeep Engineer, Senior Vice President, GCCI mentioned that one should never indulge in “Short Cuts” during their entrepreneurial journey. Equally important is the focus on your chosen mission. He mentioned that youth is the future of India’s economy. He remarked that one should be quite firm in one’s goal. Determination is very important. He also shared his own entrepreneurial journey and how value system helped him to grow and progress.

In his speech Shri Mahendra Patel mentioned about GCCI’s contribution towards empowering Gujarat’s trade and industry and the significant role it has played towards this mission throughout last seven decades since its inception in the year 1949. He congratulated GCCI Youth Committee for their performance during the year 2022-23 and remarked that it is an opportunity for one’s grooming towards future leadership. Shri Mahendra Patel had shared many details about his own entrepreneurial journey. He also emphasised the importance of value system in one’s personal as well as entrepreneurial role.

Shri Arjun Handa emphasised in his speech the qualities of simplicity, enthusiasm for work, focus and decisions based on long term future. He also mentioned that one’s motive should not be exclusive profit and it is important to involve new generation in the business and be ready for the challenges. He also congratulated the outgoing team and wished every success to the incoming chairperson Ms. Shumona Agarwal Sutaria and her team.

On the occasion Shri Hemal Prajapati, outgoing chairperson of GCCI Youth Committee gave the details of year-round activities carried out by the youth committee during the year 2022-23. He expressed gratitude to GCCI Imm.Past President Shri Pathik Patwari and other office bearers for all the support and encouragement provided throughout the year. The Youth Committee members for the year 2022-23 were felicitated on the occasion.

Incoming Chairperson Ms. Shumona Agarwal Sutaria expressed her gratitude for the opportunity given to her and provided brief information about various activities based on four pillars of Knowledge, Health, Business Development and Community building that they plan to carry out during the year ahead. Shri Aditya Sharma, Shri Siddhesh Chauhan, Shri Devam Sheth and Shri Birju Shah will co-chair the committee. She also introduced other members of GCCI Youth Committee and expressed gratitude towards the Chief Guests, Shri Mahendra Patel and Shri Arjun Handa for their kind presence and inspiration.
