GCCI organized a full day Business Leadership Conference today at Pramukh Swami Nagar along with “Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav”. The event was organized by GCCI as part of their year long celebrations of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

The conference was held at specially created “Pramukh Swami Nagar” spread across 600 acres of land and was attended by large number of GCCI members and invited guests where eminent speakers shared their thoughts and vision about India’s growth trajectory.

The galaxy of eminent speakers was comprised of Shri Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC Bank, Shri Chandubhai Virani, Founder & Managing Director, Balaji Wafers, Shri Govindbhai Dholakia, Founder & Chairman, Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd, Shri Nilesh Shah, M.D. Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co. Ltd, Dr. Sharvil Patel, Managing Director, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd, Shri Arjun Handa, M.D. Claris Lifesciences, and Dr. Pujya Gyanvatsal Swami, Life Coach & Eminent Speaker, BAPS Sanstha.

Welcoming the galaxy of eminent speakers and large audience, GCCI President Pathik Patwari praised exemplary spiritual leadership being provided by BAPS Sanstha which has had the patronage of such evolved souls as Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj. He remarked that Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj personified his words “ in the joy of others lies our own” and inspired millions around the world to live their lives with with love, peace, harmony, faith in God and service to humanity. He admired the uniquely organized “Shatabdi Mahotsav” and called it one more sterling example of the spirit of volunteerism, combined efforts and dedication which is rarely seen.

Giving his Key Note Address on the subject “The Future of Indian Economy” Shri Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC Bank remarked that Indian economy is currently forging ahead at a much faster pace than the other developed nations. He mentioned that India’s economy is driven by domestic consumption and therefore has a very bright future. He further remarked that Vibrant Gujarat has now become torchbearer of Vibrant India and the level of optimism riding the Indian Economy today is very high.

Shri Chandubhai Virani, Founder & MD, Balaji Wafers Pvt. Ltd and Shri Govindbhai Dholkia Founder & Chairman, Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd shared their experiences and life journey and gave many useful tips to the aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. They highlighted the importance of good intentions, product quality, work-life balance and dedication towards work.

CA Shri Nilesh Shah, MD, Kotak Mahindra Asset Mgmt. Co. Ltd shared his vision about “India- The Path Ahead” considering the prevailing challenges and opportunities hidden therein. He highlighted the success of the Gujarat Model and remarked that privatization of government-owned entities is the need of the day. He also elaborated on the trends of improving business conditions in India.

Dr. Sharvil Patel, MD, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd spoke at length on the subject “Scaling Up Health Care” and remarked about the exemplary achievements in the field of Health Care Services that India has achieved and the countless opportunities lying ahead. He elaborated about out-of-pocket market, research and innovation in healthcare, potential and threats of genetic disorders. Moreover, Dr. Patel explained different innovations and path breaking discoveries happening in the Indian health sector. He emphasized that such discoveries will not just help India but also will help the world at large.

Shri Arjun Handa, Chairman, Claris Limited spoke on the subject “Finding Wealth in Waste”
and remarked that the increasing damage to environment and the huge amount of waste generated should be a “wakeup call” for us. He shared his vision of how we could generate wealth out of waste and move towards sustainable and responsible development. He shared his journey from waste to wealth and how by following this business model we can change India at its 100th year of independence. He highlighted different ways to recycle waste without harming the environment.

In his highly motivating address Dr. Pujya Gyanvatsal Swami shared his ideas about the 7 habits of successful people. He remarked that success is not defined only by material wealth. He gave an idea of what true success means by sharing examples from the life of Pujya Shri Pramukh Swami Maharaj. He briefly explained the habits of intense hardwork, ethical working, work-life balance, personal life, spirituality and morality. He remarked that Pramukh Swami Maharaj intensely worked hard for development of BAPS Sanstha making his presence felt in 60 countries, 18000 villages, 3,50,000 homes of the devotees and also responding to 7,50,000/- letters. Pujya Gyanvatsal Swami stated that Pramukh Swami Maharaj built 1300 hospitals, community centers, temples etc., in his 45 years of tenure as a spiritual leader of BAPS, which averages to 1 institution in every 15 days.
