As part of their commitment to support & empower MSME entrepreneurs, GCCI organized a seminar on the theme “MAKING MSMEs GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE” on 6th October, 2018
During the seminar Chief Guest Mr. Rajendra Shah, Chairman & Managing Director of Harsha Engineers shared his own experience related to export and global market.
Dr. Jaimin Vasa, President of GCCI mentioned about year round activities that GCCI organizes for the beneï¬t of MSME. He also mentioned that Government of Gujarat has entrusted the task to GCCI to organize MSME CONVENTION at the time of 9th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019.
He mentioned about huge contribution of MSMEs towards the economy & employment in Gujarat and India as also huge global opportunities available and hoped that MSME units will now spread their wings globally.
With a view to providing 360° insight about becoming globally competitive lots of information and insight was shared by various speakers like Shri Amit Kumar, Branch Manager, ECGC, Shri Bharat Prakash, Joint Commissioner, Customs, Ahmedabad, Mr. Ranjeevan T R, PRO, DGFT, Mr Pratap Singh, AGM & Relationship Manager, State Bank of India, Mr. Omkar Acharya, Executive Director, HK Acharya & Company, and Mr. Ankit Patel, Director, Bodal Chemicals, Ahmedabad.
During the course of seminar several questions were raised & responded about promotional schemes under DGFT, risk factors involved in Export & Import Business, need for liberal insurance cover to promote export, RBI guidelines for such business, availability of PCFC to exporters, long pending issue of LCL shipment GST refund payment stuck etc.
The entire seminar was coordinated by Shri Padmin Buch, Chairman GCCI Foreign Trade Committee & Shri Navroz Tarapore, Chairman, GCCI MSME Committee.
