On 23rd February,2022 the MSME Committee, of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a Vendor Development Programme by Indian Oil corporation, Western Region and Western Railway, Ahmedabad in association with MSME-DI, Ahmedabad and Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Shri Tarachand Jain,Chairman,MSME Committee,GCCI welcomed all the participants and gave a brief of programme for promotion of MSMES in Gujarat . He appreciated MSME-DI, Ahmedabad, IOCL and Western Railway to come forward for organizing such interesting webinar for MSMEs.
Shri Hemant Shah, President, MSME Committee, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry in his address explained working of GCCI and appreciated MSME-DI to come forward for promotion of MSMEs in Gujarat. He was happy to see the good numbers of women participants. He also mentioned about the efforts being made by Defense Committee to develop vendors for defense requirement
Shri Vikas Gupta, Joint Director, MSME-DI, Ahmedabad in his key note address welcomed all the participants and gave a brief introduction of speakers and gave details of programme for promotion of MSMEs in Gujarat. He appreciated MSME Committee of GCCI for organizing such interesting webinar for MSMEs.
Shri S.S.Bose, Executive Director,WR,IOCL,Mumbai,Chief guest of the programme, in his address explained on how to increase the export by adopting mass scale production,innovation to reach 5 billion $ economy. He informed that IOCL has purchased 28 % of their need from MSMEs last year.

In this webinar senior officials from IOCL, Mumbai, Western Railway, Ahmedabad Govt. of Gujarat explained on Public Procurement Policy-2012 making it mandatory for Central Ministries/Departments, CPEs & PSUs to procure minimum 25% of their annual procurement from MSEs. They also gave information about facilitate, various benefit is being given including tender documents free of cost, exemption from EMD along with giving an opportunity if their price quoted is within price band of L-1 + 15% to MSEs under the policy.
They educated and motivated the MSEs for their participation in purchase programme of IOCL- Western Region and Western Railway.They explained about Requirement, Purchase Procedure & Vendor Registration.The official from MSME-DI,Ahmedabad Shri P.N.Solanki gave information on different schemes of incentives available from Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India to MSMEs.
In Question Answer session various questions raised by the participants and speakers were replied.
