GCCI & IPPO Foundation organized on November 11, 2022, the 6th Edition of IP Fest, a major initiative towards Intellectual Property Rights awareness.
In his Welcome Address, GCCI President Shri Pathik Patwari stressed the importance of Intellectual Property Rights & Awareness and how it will encourage more and more meritorious individuals and companies to explore as yet undiscovered frontiers.
Theme Address on the occasion was given by Shri Jatin Trivedi while Vote of Thanks was proposed by Shri H.G. Banker, Member, IPR Task Force, GCCI & Chair for IPFEST 2022.
Chief Guest in this well attended IP Awareness Seminar was Prof (Dr) Unnat P. Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks (CGPDTM).
On the occasion IP Hall of Fame Honours and Startups for IPR Leatgue 2022 were also felicitated. The felicitation was conducted by Shri Pranit Nanavati, Co.Chairman, IPR Task Force, GCCI.
Ms. Anjula Mehta CEO of IP Promotion Outreach Foundation had given detailed introduction of IP Fest 2022 and coordinated the seminar.
The major theme of the seminar was “Intellectual Property Rights and Global Scenario”. Important topics like 1) Leveraging Intellectual Property Rights globally, 2) Co-existing and growing with Competition, 3) IP Strategy in Business Development were deliberated in detail by various speakers viz. Dr. Alpesh Pathak, Global IP Head, Intas (Accord) Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Anubhav Kapoor, Director of legal affairs at Ford India, and Dr. Paras Vasanani, Head & AVP Business Developmnent at Kashiv Bio Sciencies LLC.
Important Panel Discussions on subjects 1) Significance of Creativity for Business Growth and 2) Copyright and Entertainment also proved illuminating and generated huge interest amongst the audience.
The Panel Discussion on Significance of Creativity for Business Growth was moderated by Ms. Nidhi Buch, Assistant Professor of Law, Head, GNLU and speakers were Shri Falgun Shah, CEO- International Subsidiaries at Symphony Limited and Shri Ashutosh Valani, Founder of Reneee Co8smetics, Beardo & Villain Lifestyle Centre for IPR.
The Panel Discussion on Copyright and Entertainment was moderated by Ms. Piyalee Chattopadhyay, Executive Director, TiE Ahmedabad and the speakers were Ms. Milee Ashwarya, Publisher of Ebury Publishing & Vintage Groups at Penguin Random House, India, Mr. Ritam Bhatnagar, Founder at IFP, Content and Ips, Sales Specialist and TEDx Speaker and Mr. Raag Sethi, Founder at Compass Box Studio.
