Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a Seminar with the Police Department, Ahmedabad on the topic “Cyber Crime &
Economic Offences” on 18.11.2021 at GCCI Premises. 

This seminar was organized with the objective to create awareness about Cyber Crime, guide the participants on what course of action
should be taken in cases of Cyber Crime and to clear the queries and issues related to the subject. 

Shri Prem Vir Singh, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Ahmedabad and Shri Amit Vasava, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Cell, Ahmedabad were the eminent speakers at the event.

The program started with a welcome address by GCCI President Shri Hemantbhai Shah welcomed the esteemed speakers present at the
seminar. 

GCCI Sr. Vice President Shri Pathik Patwari, in his theme address, highlighted the objective of the seminar. 

Shri Prem Vir Singh, IPS, mentioned in his address about types of economic offences and gave examples how such offences take place. He also suggested measures to prevent such offences like proper documentation, proper maintenance of records and overall financial prudence.

Shri Amit Vsava, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber-crime cell, Ahmedabad mentioned about three type of cybercrimes namely
Unauthorised access, Cyber Fraud and Social Media Bullying and also explained the modus operandi of such crimes and huge amount lost in
such case. he also guided the participants how such crimes could be avoided by remaining alert. 

A Question and Answers session was organized as part of the event, where the participants got an opportunity to clear their doubts and queries. The session was moderated by Shri Sanjeev Chhajed, Vice President, GCCI.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Navroz Tarapore, Hon. Treasurer, GCCI.
